A sports massage is a firm form of massage

that is aimed at faster recovery of muscle tissue after exertion.

The muscles are massaged and treated per muscle group.

Any imbalance in the muscle is remedied and muscle knots (myogelosis) are detected and treated.

The massage is given according to the guidelines of the NGS

the Dutch Association of Sports Massage, which stands for knowledge and quality.

 

 

A full body massage lasts 90 minutes
Specific muscle groups (per sport) 60 minutes

Foot and calf 30 minutes

 

 

 

 

Massage therapy

 

During the training to become a massage therapist, knowledge was gained about Anatomy, Physiology and possible Pathology.

What do muscles actually look like on the inside?

And how do you keep your muscles healthy? Due to (work) load, a muscle has to work, but does it also get the rest it deserves?

With stiff and tense muscles, we see that the muscle can no longer relax properly. The muscle, or parts of a muscle, can get stuck in a certain degree of contraction.

This causes waste products, especially lactic acid, to accumulate. A firm massage loosens these muscles again, which ensures better blood circulation,

and thus more space for the body to remove these waste products.

This, together with my focus and attention for your body, I know how to manipulate in such a way that a massage does not always have to be painful.

More a feeling of enlightenment, because the body notices that it is being helped.

How is the massage tailored to you?

Before the start of the massage, you will receive the intake form.

On this you can indicate what your goal is and what your expectations are of the treatments.

A short massage is also given for additional palpation data.

With the information obtained here, together with the intake form, a treatment plan will be set up.

 

You can also opt for a more extensive body inspection and anamnesis for a deeper look.
